This Privacy Policy explains what information Instaaudiodownload (“we”, “us”) processes when you use instagramaudiodownload.in, and why. We keep data collection to a minimum.
The short version
- You don’t need an account, and we never ask for your Instagram login.
- We don’t store the Reels or the audio files you convert.
- Links you paste are cached for a short time to make repeat requests faster.
- We use a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address for about an hour to prevent abuse.
Information we process
Links you paste
When you submit an Instagram link, our server uses it to find the public media for that Reel. The result, such as the media address and basic details about the Reel, is kept in a temporary cache for a short time (usually under an hour) so repeat requests for the same Reel are faster. This cache is not linked to you.
Audio files
The MP3 is created for you on the fly. Depending on the Reel, the audio is converted in your own browser or passed through our server while it downloads. Either way, we do not save a copy.
IP address
To stop automated abuse, we count requests per IP address. The address is stored only in a hashed form and is deleted automatically after about one hour.
Server logs
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical data, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. These logs are used for security and troubleshooting and are kept for a limited time.
Emails you send us
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you.
Cookies
The downloader works without cookies. WordPress sets cookies only if you log in to the site’s admin area. If we add analytics or advertising in the future, we will update this policy to explain which cookies those services use and how you can control them.
Third-party services
- Instagram (Meta Platforms, Inc.): public media is fetched from Instagram’s servers when you request a download.
- Media processing service: we may use a third-party service to locate and prepare the media for public Reels. It receives the Reel link you submit. In some cases your browser downloads the file directly from that service or from Instagram, which means they can see your IP address.
- Hosting: the website is hosted by a third-party provider that processes technical data, such as server logs, on our behalf.
Children’s privacy
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices and rights
Because there are no accounts and we keep almost no personal data, there is usually nothing to access or delete. If you have emailed us and want your messages deleted, just ask.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
